Vintage Jewelry
We love jewelry... love... designing, making it, repurposing, even repairing it, we really love buying it, but most of all-wearing it.
Punchy Brewtster can be pretty hard on her jewelry, and BohoBabe is almost always adorned, head to toe. So we have some experience with vintage jewelry, and acknowledge that we are making assessments based on our combined knowledge and hours of research.
Some of our older jewelry that is considered fragile, will always be noted as such, however, we suggest always taking special care with all of your vintage jewelry.
If you buy from us you get the best of our experience, knowledge, judgment, and honesty. Old jewelry means old materials' and adhesives. However, quite often, old jewelry is more durable than brand new stuff. I won't rant here about generation disposable everything...
Often the outward condition of something can be deceiving. For some items, we wear them for a bit, just to see if there are any issues such as sharp edge or earring backs that don't stay on, etc. It helps to address the value of the object and give best advice on condition and care.
We will always give our honest opinion and hope that a return is not requested. If that is the case, we will do our best to keep you happy... but we can not be responsible for accidents.
For example, A 1940's beaded necklace gets caught, tugged on, then comes unstrung, we will be bummed but can't accept all returns. 80-year-old jewelry doesn't always come with a 30-day warranty. ;)
